Jose Rojas (30, Doosan Bears) hit the first home run in the KBO League.

In an exhibition game against Kiwoom Heroes held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on the 27th, Rojas started as the second hitter and designated hitter and recorded 2 hits (1 home run), 2 RBIs and 1 run in 4 at-bats.

After the end of last season, Doosan gave up on renewing the contract of Jose Miguel Fernandez, who had been with him for the past four years. He was the top hitter for his first two years, and had a .300 batting average for four consecutive years, but the decline was obvious. With his slow feet, he even set a new record for the most double kills in a season in the KBO League.

Doosan teamed up with Lohas as a new foreign player. Although he is not a big shot hitter, he was praised for his ability to hit the ball with his pioneering eye. He also had expectations that he could become the ‘second Fernandez’.

In the demonstration game, Rojas began to show the expected appearance. In nine exhibition games, he had a stable hit production with a batting average of 3.4 and 8 runs.

Runner Jo Soo-haeng, who stole second base from Rojas at bat, came home on a double. Doosan ran away from 3-2 to 4-2.

Doosan, who saved the atmosphere by adding an additional point to Rojas, added one point in the 7th inning. Afterwards, the game ended without any additional points scored, winning 5-2 and harvesting 4 wins (2 draws, 6 losses) in the demonstration game.

After the game, Doosan coach Lee Seung-yeop praised Lohas for showing what the team expects today.
