With this save, Kim Brel achieved 400 saves in his 14th season of debut. A total of seven major leaguers, including Mariano Rivera (652 saves) and Trevor Hoffman (601 saves), reached the 400 save mark, and Kimbrel became the protagonist of the eighth record.

Kimbrel is famous for the ‘eagle sign form’. When exchanging autographs with the catcher, his trademark is the sign exchange pose in which he spreads his arms from side to side like an eagle.

He was as good as his unique pose. From his debut in 2010 to 2014, Kimbrel recorded 186 saves in Atlanta alone, setting a record for a team in his hometown club.

400 saves in 730 career appearances. Kimbrel has been reborn as the best closer in the major leagues with the third-fastest pace ever, following Rivera (697 games) and Hoffman (706 games).
