New York Yankees Domingo Hermann (31) was suspended for 10 games for using a foreign object while pitching.

On the 18th (Korean time), MLB.com, the official homepage of Major League Baseball, said, “Hermann was suspended for 10 games and fined for violating the foreign substance use ban rule.” The size of the fine was not disclosed.

Hermann started the game against the Toronto Blue Jays the day before (17th). He pitched perfectly without getting any hits until the 3rd inning, but was ordered to leave in the 4th inning for using a foreign object. His pants were also smeared with a black substance.

Exactly what material he used is still unclear.

Hermann insisted he only used rosin from the back of the mound. However, the referee retorted, “It was absolutely not rosin powder. His fingers were so sticky that they did not come off the palm of his hand.”

In the end, Hermann could not avoid a 10-game suspension. “The umpire crossed the line, and we have to deal with the consequences,” Yankees manager Aaron Boone said.먹튀검증

“I’m sorry for my teammates and the team. I put them in a difficult situation,” said Hermann.

Hermann recorded an average ERA of 5.54 in 5 starts in April, but showed excellent pitching with a 1.64 ERA in 4 starts in May. However, with Hermann leaving, the Yankees had to fill the starting void.

Coach Boone said that Luis Severino, who is returning from the injured list (IL), will make his first appearance of the season against the Cincinnati Reds on the 22nd.
